Berry Beach, York Peninsula, South Australia

This beach has it all. Soft sand, a beautiful view, decent waves, and convenient stairs to take you to the lovely white sand. But, it also has riptides and possibly sharks as well. Kids can play in the waves but only hip deep as the waves raise and fall quickly. The mothers were content to play in the sand and bury the kids while the Dads tried out thier surfer skills. A site for all. I am not a surfer. :-)

Berry Beach is just around the toe of the Yorke Peninsula from Corny Point and its beautiful lighthouse. The York Peninsula is a spectacular water wonderland only 2-3 hours drive from the hustle of Adelaide. The rugged cliffs and wide sandy beaches will keep you busy! Do not miss this.
